Moody town, moody skies, moody waitress.

Another hot humid day forecast ahead of a cold front bringing a cooler few days caused us to reduce the trip today with a finish in Kosse, Texas and staying a few miles back in Marlin. The early part of the ride to a town called Moody was under brooding dark clouds but the showers gave us a miss today. Then we stopped for a drink to be met by an untypically moody American waitress. Oh well it's the first bad experience like that, that we've had.
71 miles today in a relaxed 4hours 45 minutes. Passed the total of 1600 miles today so should be just under 1000 to go. Not in any hurry to get to the east coast at the moment as all the news is of hurricane Mathew that is heading up the Florida coast towards our finish point in Georgia.
Finished ride with 16 miles that were pleasantly flat and on very smooth tarmac. Most of the day had been rough.
Too late for yesterday's post - the trip to the drive in movie theatre.10 dollars a car and an audience of just three cars they'd be lucky to cover the wages and electric. No minimum wage here I don't think.
Most towns (all called cities even with populations as low as 450 people!) have their name on their water tank. Some towns should pehaps keep it a bit quieter!
We made it just ahead of this shower. If you click you can faintly see a rainbow.
