Half the distance but twice the humidity. Comanche to Gatesville.

In yesterday's mammoth ride we did part of the intended ride for today. We therefore had a lie in, a leisurely breakfast (including waffle and blueberries) and a late start. With a small town of Hamilton halfway along we had a day of two 33 mile halves of rolling countryside. It's funny how the mind works, though- with a short ride it almost seemed harder to finish. A combination of rough road surfaces and the highest humidity so far meant an uncomfortable time.
Met a couple of Colombians in Hamilton who were impressed with our ride on behalf of their cycling mad country. Didn't look like cyclists themselves though!
Got to Gatesville to find a huge prison which is a major employer in the town which is the largest place we've stayed in since Phoenix. Finished early enough to visit a museum covering old aspects of US life that was interesting. It also has the largest collection of spurs in the world. Don't know how many contenders there are for that record!
Keith & Chris got in at senior rates, being over 55. Mandy had to pay the full TWO dollar admission!
Tonight we are going to one of the last drive in movie theatres provided we can stay awake.
Gustine. Like Justine but with more wind.

What happened at the marketing meeting that came up with that title?!

A new project for Steve eh, Sara?
