Tha first day. Oceanside,Ca to Anza, Ca

It started well if a little late after gathering essential supplies. Pictures by the pier in a sunny but not too hot Oceanside. Keith took a sample of Pacific Ocean to carry to the Atlantic.

Unfortunately within half a mile ther was a load bang and Keith has an epic blowout followed by another  on inflating the replacement as we'd not noticed his brand new Schwalbe Lugano had a split letting the inner bulge out.

Next was a fast departure up a pleasant riverside bike trail before getting onto the busy roads heading north east. Really smooth surfaces much better than they appeared on StreetView.
